We’ve had a lot of love for this sweet lately, and after last weeks crazy choice we thought it was time for something a bit more… traditional!
It’s a classic British boiled sweet, that would be fantastic to enjoy on a warm summers day (or rainy day the rate this summer’s going :().
Another sweet we like to count as one of our five a day, this weeks Retro sweet of the week is…
Rosy Apples!
Mmm these make our mouths water with their fruity juiciness! They are just deeelicious. A Rosy Apple a day keeps the doctor away 😉

These are delicious! These scream of the days when sweets were sold from humungous jars (I just caught the end of this era as a kid). A massive jar of these just looks beautiful and a perfect present *nudge nudge wink wink*.
My memories of these are of them being a classic ‘shut up sweet’ to be deployed by irate parents on a long car journey 🙂
I’ve just had tonsilitis and now have a throat infection, boiled sweets are all that is helping at the moment! I need these!!

I love Rosy Apples so much I called my daughter Rosy!
Ummm I haven’t had these since I left school many years ago.
I always bought a quater of them and would suck them in class.
They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away………….not that these would last that long!

Ive always loved Rosy Apples for as long as i can remember.!
I love Rosy Apple Sweets that much that i waited outside the shop at 7.30am for it to open, even though the shop didn’t open untill 8am 🙂 i’m in love with them!!

I deserve to win because my husband is a greedy little piglet who once ate a GIANT tub of sweets all to himself without sharing any of them with me 🙁 in fact he is always buying sweets and gobbling them all up before I get a chance to have one! Give,e the chance to rub his face in it for once!!!

i used to have a siver sixpence to spend on sweets and i must have tried every kind of sweet in the shop but do you know I’ve never tried these! they look delicious- what have i missed? i’d like to find out.
After watching Jamie and the magic tourch, Buttonmoon and Dangermouse with the kids I feel I should also introduce them to retro sweets!!!
I can remember my dad buying me these to keep me quite on long car journeys – they were delicious.

As these Apples are really scrummy and brings back so many happy childhood memories, when my nan used to buy us these on a saturday night when she looked after us

Rosy Apples give me rosy cheeks, as I smile at the thought of the delicious sweets. They are perfect for a summers day, the fruity goodness lightens the shades of grey. They are the retro sweet of the week, which is my silver lining as i’m a sweetie geek.
I just love rosy apples. Especially when u leave them to dissolve in a bottle of vodka then drink it. Extra scrummy!
