Pear Drops!

Long car journeys were always made a million times better by these little treats. We’re still a bit baffled about the choice of colour (has anyone ever seen a pink or yellow pear?!) but we love ’em all the same so lets not question the retro sweet god’s decisions ;).

If you’d like to win some juicy Pear Drops, then all you need to do is leave a comment on this post. We’d love to hear if these bring back any memories for you too.

Just make sure you enter before 9am on Monday 14th of March to be in with the chance of winning the sweet prize.

The Chewbz office will vote for their favourite comment, and announce the winner on the 14th 🙂

I hate pears but love these …… My favourite boiled sweets and my boyfriends if I won I’d share them with him 🙂

These bring back memories! I haven’t thought about them for years and years. My Granny used to buy a quarter pound for Grandad every weekend but if my sister and I were visiting she would always buy 2 quarter pound bags so he wouldn’t have to share his! Would love to win some to share with my kids

Love the taste of pear drops, nothing quite like them.Like to mix these sometimes with rhubarb and custard, the taste of them both together is something special.:)

I’ve been waiting for pear drops to be the sweet of the week! When I was little my mum always used to give them to me to keep me quiet on long car journeys! I couldn’t moan about “are we there yet?” with a pear drop in my mouth! If I won I’d give them to my mum because I know itd just make her smile reminding her of that memory!

I love pear drops and used to buy them by the quarter, I always remember by the time I got to school they would be all hot and stuck to the bag, but you didnt care as you just eat the paper as well. Added flavour….:-))
