Retro sweet of the week!
After the success of introducing boiled sweets to our retro sweet range, we thought we’d start your week with another classic British sweet!
Here at Chewbz HQ, we’ve got a lot of love for this fruity sweet, and we never seem to have a problem polishing off a jar or two!
We just can’t get enough of the perfect combination of silky smooth custard and fruity rhubarb, mmm…
Just thinking of this yummy boiled sweet makes us feel all summery, and we’re sure it’ll brighten up your January too!

I am struggling not to dribble just looking at the pictures! I eat sweets all day long i deserve to have no teeth! Rhubarb and custard…I mean what genius came up with the idea!!
RHUBARD AND CUSTARD oh my god yum yum yum. I had some rhubarb and custard bon bons yesterday and they were amazing too. Might have to go and get some of these retro classics today now!!!

Rhubarb and Custard sweets remind me of days gone by,of summer and meadows and birds on high.I drift along as on a cloud until the sweet is done and then i find i have to go and have another one.

A fab retro sweet that always like Jo reminded me of the tv programme. Now they are both classics. Does that not make you feel old lol!
Amazing! and they’re individually wrapped? so i can hide them in my pocket without fearing them being covered in pocket fluff like they used to be at school!! x

I LOVE RHUBARB AND CUSTARDS! Seriously; what GENUIS (or the plural; Geniusi-si-si-si-si) came up with this treat. One day I hope for it to RAIN Rhubarb and Custards and then the little droplets to embed themselves in farmlands and grow into Rhubarb and Custard tree’s for us all to hop along and pick them down. No one should complain because Rhubarb is one of your five-a-day… even when it is mainly a sugary compound. Face it – the world would be a better place if this was how things happened, fosure.
My all time favourite sweets the taste is just devine i remember when you could buy a quarter of half of these but not anymore 🙁 the olden days were the best for sweets.

Yum-a-tron!!! I love Rhubarb and Custard sweets, which is a bit odd because I loathe the actual vegetable/root/big red-ish stemmy type thing! (Not sure what Rhubarb actually is) Probably because my mum boiled it into a nasty mushy-mush. Can’t been a nice boiled sweet though, great for the car, don’t pull out your fillings! :O

Rhubard and custard are amazing! Can you please reassure that they don’t contain the loveable cartoon characters of the same name though please?
