An extra special Retro sweet of the week!

March 14th, 2011

We’re bringing you an extra special, transatlantic treat with this weeks Retro sweet of the week.

Kayleigh has just got back from Florida, and has returned with some sweet prizes just for you :)

The first of our limited edition, American Retro sweet of the week is…

Tootsie Pop Drops

Tootsie Pop Drops*!

These are basically Tootsie Pops without the stick!

For those of you unfamiliar with America’s favourite lollipop, Tootsie Pops are fruity flavoured with a chewy chocolate centre hiding inside, mmm…!

You can also buy the chocolate inside in a bar form, called a Toostie Roll. Tootsie Rolls have been around since 1896, and Tootsie Pops since 1931 :o . Now that’s what we call a retro sweet!

We have one bag of Tootsie Pop Drops to give away to this weeks lucky winner. To enter, all you need to do is leave a comment on this post!

Our favourite comment will be chosen next Monday, the 21st March, so make sure you get those comments in before then if you’d like to win :D .

We’d love to hear from any fellow Tootsie Pop fans out there, or if you’ve never tried ‘em, this is the perfect opportunity to try some American treats :D

* Which the Chewbz office have all been scoffing this afternoon, and can confirm they are scrumptious!

  3. This has to be the best idea I’ve heard for a sweet! Fruity and chocolatey, there’s nothing missing from this sweet whatsoever! Even if I don’t win some I plan on forcing my boyfriend to find me some asap :)

Just had to re read the name of them then lol thought it said poop drops :D Don’t think they would taste very nice, but pop drops sound much better and they look really good.Never tasted anything like this before and its good to see the different choice of flavours.
